Capt. Jay
I am one of the most experienced captains on the Mississippi Coast, with over 52 years of experience chartering these waters. Born and raised in the charter boat business, I am proud to be passing down my knowledge to the fourth generation of Trochessets. I worked alongside my father, the late Capt. J.P. Trochesset, during the summers, learning firsthand what it takes to run a successful charter operation. After attending college, I served in the National Guard. Over the years, I have served as President of the Mississippi Charter Boat Association and as a board member of the Mississippi Coast Fishing Banks and the National Association of Charter Boat Operators. In 2016, I was inducted into the IGFA Hall of Fame, and in 2024, I was honored with induction into the City of Biloxi Seafood Hall of Fame.

I come from a true Gulf Coast fishing family, proudly carrying on a four-generation charter tradition here in Biloxi. I’ve been working on boats since I was just 12 years old, and I earned my captain’s license in 2023. I learned the business from the ground up, following in the footsteps of my father, Captain Brandon, and my grandpa, Captain Jay.
As a dedicated family man, I love welcoming anglers of all experience levels and take pride in putting my guests on fish in the waters I’ve called home my entire life.
